The top 5 lessons I learned were:
1. I learned the purpose of the Internet was to share reading and writing and blogging is not the enemy of education.
2. I learned the catharic effect of sharing one’s writing and the bravery it inspires.
3. I learned teachers know a lot about life.
4. I learned authenticity in the classroom is important.
5. I learned I knew something most others didn’t. I was able to teach my fellows about the I-search. I had something to offer to a professional community.

Aren’t teachers amazing people! We get bogged down by the do nothing don’t care among us when there are far more motivated teachers. Having something to share with people you respect is empowering.

You are right; you really sparked interest with the I-Search method. I keep rolling it around in my mind. I’ve been reticent about using research papers, as the students wail and gnash their teeth about the ones in English. This would be a good way to do it.

Megan you have been spending way too much time with Bethany. Her ridiculous vocabulary is starting to rub-off on you. “Catharic”? Please! Stop trying ti impress us with your intelligence. Besides, who did you ask how to spell that word anyways?
